Sign up for a UON Peer Mentor

If you’re new to UON, you’ve recently moved away from home or you would like someone who has been through it all before to show you the ropes, then a UON Peer Mentor can help you.

Our mentors are second and third year students who have recently been in your position, so they know just how tricky the start of uni can be. They want to share their experiences with you and offer support, hints and tips to help you on the road to success.

UON Peer Mentors can assist you by:

  • Showing you around the campus (including great places to eat or grab a coffee before class!).
  • Letting you know about events, clubs and societies that run at UON.
  • Keeping regular contact with you during the first six weeks of study. By then you’ll be in your element and completely comfortable with uni life.
  • Providing support and advice, plus referring you to the right people if you find yourself in the deep end and in need of more complicated help.

You don’t have to go it alone. Sign up for a UON Peer Mentor.

Don’t forget that we can also help you get on top of your studies. For assistance with your course attend a peer assisted study session (PASS). If you would like to further develop your study skills, why not try one of our study workshops?
