Description
This course is designed for students wishing to gain admission to studies in the BMusPA at UoN through live auditions and others wishing to enhance their skills in live public presentation.
Students will develop knowledge and confidence in preparing for auditioning and live public presentations, skills in presentation and communication, managing changed circumstances and improvisation. They will be lead through the process of preparing for an audition/presentation and have the opportunity for an initial audition/presentation performance at the end of the course with a written response from the tutor allowing students to further craft their work.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Apply strategies for choosing appropriate audition pieces
2. Demonstrate improved vocal and gestural skills for auditions and public presentation
3. Identify introductory characterisation skills and techniques
4. Identify appropriate preparation methods for an audition
5. Reflect on their performance and apply self-assessment skills following an audition
