Description
This course builds on the knowledge acquired in EPABOR111 Professional Practice to assist students to develop their awareness of professionalism within a theoretical framework which values their Aboriginal knowledges and literacies.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Apply theoretical knowledge to practical and/or organisational settings.
2. Identify future goals by examining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals and their practice.
3. Apply assessment procedures that may be used in their further study experiences.
4. Demonstrate communication skills in presenting information.
5. Develop skills in time management and other academic literacies.
6. Interact with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander practitioners in the professions to integrate knowledge and practice.
Content
The main components of this course will be:
- The application of theoretical knowledge to practical and/or organisational settings.
- Provision of the opportunity to interact with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals in various professions to integrate Aboriginal knowledges, Aboriginal literacies and other professional knowledges to develop their own understanding of the role of professionals who balance their Aboriginality and work-based cultures.
- Expanding students' skills and understandings of work-based performance expectations including report writing and advocacy.
- Develop students' professional communication skills.
Requisite
This course is only available if you are active in the Yapug program [11195] and have successfully completed EPABOR111.
