Description
Students will develop advanced skills, knowledge and abilities in four aspects of media production: lighting, vision post-production, audio post-production and multicamera operations. This course will be delivered in four discrete modules with emphasis on the use of professional industry standards and creative processes.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Exhibit skills, knowledge and understanding of lighting techniques for movie production
2. Exhibit skills, knowledge and understanding of advanced techniques for moving image post-production
3. Exhibit skills, knowledge and understanding of advanced techniques for audio post-production
4. Exhibit skills, knowledge and understanding of the operations of multicamera event management, live switching and studio management.
Content
The course will cover:
- Lighting dramatic movie scenes for different looks
- Advanced post-production of moving-image content such as motion graphics, compositing and colour grading.
- Advanced post-production for audio such dialogue and sound replacement
- Multi-camera operations for live events and broadcast
Assumed knowledge
Working knowledge of professional movie editing systems (such as Premiere Pro);
60 units at 2000 level including CMNS2035 and CMNS2130.

Professional Task: Lighting production exercise
Professional Task: Moving image post-production exercise
Professional Task: Audio post production exercise
Professional Task: Live event multi-camera operation exercise
Compulsory Requirements
Compulsory Placement and WHS Requirements:
- Induction - Induction Requirement - Students must attend and pass the induction requirements before attending the tutorial sessions. In order to participate in this course students must complete a compulsory safety induction (equipment usage).
