Description
Artificial Intelligence (AI) makes computer systems to mimic human problem solving and decision making abilities used in businesses. AI systems used in business are increasingly substituting human’s tasks, roles, responsibilities, and their decision making. Consequently, business management reshapes the business processes and core actions in management for better interaction with the AI system. While the ‘new normal’ disruptive technology AI opens up the door to design and implement smart practical applications transforming the new abundance of data to empower intelligent decisions, the essence of AI knowledge become more pervasive reality of automation for business management and its potential impact on human engagement in business operation is massive. This course is designed to provide students with knowledge related to established and emerging developments of AI systems in organisations using real-world examples. Applications of AI systems in various areas including management, finance, customer relationship management, and human resources management will be explored.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Conceptualise business problems to design and employ AI solutions for improving business management and relevant data-driven decision making.
2. Justify AI application selection, AI systems assessment, planning and integration in order to safeguard appropriate automation and substitute processes that precisely contribute to meet management needs in contemporary organisations.
3. Critically review the assortment and provisions of AI applications in business management focusing data processing approaches and smart solutions.
4. Appraise AI solutions implementation in contemporary organisations.
5. Communicate appropriate and authenticate ethical AI systems and purposeful recommendations considering societal and moral boundaries/issues with reference.

Topics will include:
- Introduction to artificial intelligence (AI) for business management
- Different methods of AI for substituting human’s tasks in business operations
- Robotic business applications and AI personalisation
- Ethical AI-driven business and government transformation
- AI in the organisational knowledge, reasoning and planning
- Benefits, issues and risks of using AI for data flow automation, as well as for data-driven communicating, perceiving and decision making
