Description
In this course, students will conduct an independent research study in the form of a literature review, an experimental or theoretical investigation into a construction industry problem associated with issues covered in the program. Results will be communicated in the form of a seminar, final report and poster.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Select, apply, and present research strategies and methodologies appropriate to construction management generally and the project topic area selected for study.
2. Analyse the evidence gathered for the project report and use it to support the argument presented.
3. Develop and organise a research report on the selected project that communicates a coherent argument supported by evidence.
4. Communicate the project findings using appropriate methods and techniques as per industry expectations.

This course is a self-directed project with a member of academic staff as supervisor.
