Description
This course covers the foundational elements of managing projects from initial planning to project closure. It also emphasises the skills related to managing project timelines, budgets, risk, and procurement. Students will also explore common obstacles within project management and develop a problem-solving attitude pertaining to project management.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Develop a project management schedule as a control mechanisms.
2. Identify the place of time management in the context of the project life cycle and other project management functions.
3. Demonstrate the need to link time, cost and resources to the project framework.
4. Apply skills in risk management planning and quality planning.
5. Outline a detailed project plan using an industry ready software tool.
