Research
The Leggett Precision Hub for Alcohol Treatment is a place where researchers come together to share ideas, explore new findings, and build a strong community.
Our goal is to improve alcohol use treatment by using precision medicine - an approach that tailors care to each person’s unique needs.
At the Hub, we support collaboration and innovation. Whether you're working on a new study, looking to connect with others in the field, or simply curious about the latest research, this is the space for you.
Together, we’re shaping the future of alcohol treatment, one discovery at a time, to get the right treatment, to the right person, at the right time.
About our research
Right now, we are running a pilot study to help improve how we understand and treat alcohol use. We’re also bringing together data from multiple past studies looking at alcohol use treatment and using machine learning approaches to discover what treatment approaches works best for whom.
We are also looking at genetics and digital phenotyping. This means we’re studying how a person’s genes and their behaviour such as how they use their phone or interact online. This can help us learn more about their health and how they respond to treatment for their alcohol use.
This research is an important step toward making alcohol treatment more personalised and effective for everyone.
