Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you review the below Terms and Conditions of enrolment as you will be asked to agree with them at the time of enrolment.

  1. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to drop off and collect their child/children on time.
  2. Fees must be paid by the beginning of the term prior to commencing lessons and only electronic payments  can be accepted as we do not accept cash or cheque.
  3. A term consists of 9 weeks with one lesson per week. Week 10 is reserved for make-up lessons to cover
    teacher absences only.
  4. All tuition fees are charged per term and are non-reducible and non-refundable.
  5. Refunds will not be given for student absences or withdrawals from lessons nor will make up lessons be  provided in such circumstances. This applies to single study, Early Childhood Music and other class/group  activities.
  6. Refunds will only be made where classes are discontinued.
  7. Fees will only be credited to the following term if a single study teacher is unable to give a lesson and a  “make up” lesson is not possible, or at the discretion of the Conservatorium.
  8. A student is not permitted to re-enrol for a new term of study if they are in arrears for fees in a previous term.
  9. Term fees must be paid before a student is entitled to hire an instrument. Hire of instruments is subject to  availability and COVID-safe guidelines. Please refer to the Hire Terms and Conditions for further information.
  10. The Conservatorium reserves the right; to decline or cancel an enrolment in any of its courses; to cancel  classes at any time; to cancel classes due to insufficient enrolment numbers; to cancel programs at any time; to  change a teacher for any tuition at any time.
  11. Students/caregivers displaying cold or flu like symptoms should not attend our campuses. An online lesson  may be offered in place of a face to face lesson where possible. Please note that teachers must be advised of  absence at least 24 hours prior to the lesson to allow time to set up a Zoom link.
  12. Re-enrolment - All students are automatically re-enrolled each term and invoices are emailed a few weeks before the start of term, or promptly after enrolment forms are received from new students. Invoices will also indicate the term’s dates and class details. If you do not receive your invoice, please contact us prior to the start of term. Payment is due within 14 days of the issuing of the invoice.
  13. Discontinuing students - If you are not returning, please notify us (in addition to your teacher) to ensure  that you are not charged any additional fees.
  14. Students, or the guardians of underage students, are asked to report pre-existing medical conditions on  enrolment. Contact numbers for the Conservatorium's First Aid Officers are displayed in all rooms.
