Research Higher Degrees
The Faculty of Health offers Research Higher Degrees at the Masters and PhD levels, with students embarking on a significant research project. The PhD by research is the highest degree awarded by the University, and is the gateway to an exciting career in health research. The completion time for these programs is 2 years full time for the research Masters and up to 4 years full time for the PhD.
Research Higher Degree candidates select their own research topic and work closely with an academic supervisor to produce a thesis that is examined by external examiners prior to award.
The Faculty of Health currently boasts over 300 research higher degree students, in a wide range of fields. We are ranked as one of the top ten research institutes in Australia.
