Integrated Physics

Description

For Engineers, knowledge of Physics is essential to understand and transform the world around us. This course is designed for students in selected Engineering programs with no or little physics background. It focuses on illustrating and developing an understanding of the interplay between mathematics and physics in engineering. The course examines some of the core topics in physics essential for further studies in engineering such as Mechanics, Vibrations & Waves, Electricity & Magnetism, Fluids and Optics. It also includes a special unit on mathematical/computational modelling in physics.

Assumed Knowledge

2 unit mathematics from the NSW HSC, or equivalent.
