Description
To move forward in the modern education sector, higher education providers must move beyond traditional educational paradigms in order to engage students and to prepare them for contemporary working and learning contexts. Technological solutions offer educators a range of tools to assist in teaching and learning approaches, content delivery, and assessment in ways to make their courses more engaging and with greater opportunity for feedback. This course will cover a range of technological tools and give tertiary educators knowledge and skills to practically apply and integrate emerging technologies into their own educational programs.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Describe a range of technologies available for formative and summative assessment.
2. Ensure appropriate technologies are implemented into their learning programs that enhance student learning.
3. Identify, describe and implement methods that can be used for the purpose of reducing the risk of student cheating through the use of modern and emerging technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs).
4. Design appropriate formative assessments specific to their area of teaching using appropriate technologies.
5. Design and implement appropriate methods for content delivery using technologies include Video calls, Canvas, and other Digital Technologies.

Topics will include:
- Use of technology in content delivery
- Use of technology in summative and formative assessment
- Implications of ChatGPT and large language models on assessment
- Implications of technology on pedagogy and ensuring that technology enhances student learning
- Features of technological platforms currently available and their pedagogical applications
