Description
This course examines the New Kingdom of Egypt. It covers the historical background of the age, geography and landscape, and features study of significant sites. Other topics include political and social institutions, religious beliefs and institutions, and scribes, artisans and agricultural workers. Students are also introduced to the professional attitudes and attributes related to ancient world studies through the acquirement of skills in using digital tools and analysing specific ethical implications pertaining to the subject matter.

Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course students will be able to:
1. Examine the historical development of New Kingdom Egypt
2. Summarise knowledge of New Kingdom Egypt through a project-based learning activity
3. Analyse primary source material in the context of digital resources
4. Explain arguments succinctly (written and/or oral) and accurately on New Kingdom Egypt, including the ethical implications involved
