Aiming to expand

The University of Newcastle is aiming to create a vibrant, active and engaged presence in the city centre. The proposed city campus would relocate components of the University's Faculty of Business and Law from Callaghan into the city.

The city campus would be located close to the NSW Justice Precinct, TAFE NSW facilities and the growing commercial centre of Honeysuckle. Locating a city campus in the commercial and legal heart of the city would promote greater opportunities for Work Integrated Learning and professional engagement; and enhance access, participation and attainment to higher education for Hunter communities.
