Council Services and Chancellery

Council Services and Chancellery provides advice to the University Council, Academic Senate, Vice-Chancellor, Executive and the wider University community and supports decision making espousing the governance principles of transparency, integrity, stewardship, and institutional accountability.

The team comprises Risk and Assurance Services, the Legal Office, Complaints and Information Management and the Secretariat.

Office of the Vice-Chancellor

The Office of the Vice-Chancellor supports Professor Caroline McMillen, Vice-Chancellor and President of UON, in her leadership of the University and her regional, national and international engagement. The Chief of Staff leads the Office and directs the University's political relations in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor and senior colleagues. The Office supports the Executive Committee of the University, takes responsibility for overseeing the flow of business through the University, and plays a leading role in a wide range of strategic and operational matters across UON.

Strategy, Planning and Performance

Continuous improvement and facilitating effective, data-driven decision-making is at the heart of all that Strategy, Planning and Performance do. They coordinate integrated planning processes that support the University to achieve its strategic objectives and lead a range of quality assurance activities that ensure feedback from our students, staff, peers and community informs the development of programs and services. The team delivers anywhere, anytime access to the latest institutional performance data, and they also offer reporting and analytics services to provide tailored information to clients across the University.
