Become a Homestay Host
Sharing your home with a Homestay student is a rewarding opportunity to learn about your students family, cultures and homeland.
The University of Newcastle’s Homestay program, established since 1998, offers a safe, affordable and family-oriented accommodation that enables you to live and interact with local families.
The homestay option provides international students with the opportunity to live in a home environment while studying at the University. Homestay families provide friendly surroundings where students can practice their language skills and form new friendships.
Your homestay host family is carefully screened and happy to welcome you into their home.
As of 2020 there are a limited number of homestay families available for Domestic students. For more information please email Homestay or call 4921 6777.
Homestay is a great way to learn about Australian culture, practice your English and make new friends.
