Oral Health Clinic

The University of Newcastle Oral Health Clinic is a student teaching clinic located on the Central Coast campus (Ourimbah).

All services are provided under the supervision of registered oral health professionals (dentists, oral health therapists, dental therapists and dental hygienists).

The 16-chair clinic operates during semester time and allows students to learn in a supervised environment and provides the Central Coast community with a valuable service.

Dental services

Not all treatment provided by private practioners is available at the clinic. Contact us to make an appointment for the following services:

Comprehensive oral examination

A full dental check-up, including radiographs. You will receive a diagnosis and explanation of what is happening with your teeth and gums.

Oral hygiene and periodontal treatment

The Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy focuses on preventative dental care and education and cleaning of the teeth and gums, so you will get help with your brushing and flossing and a thorough clean.

Preventive treatments

Including fissure sealants and mouthguards.

Dental care for children, adolescents and adults

Comprehensive treatment including fillings and deciduous extractions is available for children and adolescents. Simple fillings are available for patients of all ages.


Bookings are essential

  • No referral is required.
  • Students and staff of the University of Newcastle and holders of Health Care Cards are able to have their treatment free of charge.
  • A small fee will apply to all other patients.
