Occupational Therapy Clinic
The clinic provides affordable, student-led occupational therapy services for children and young people, supervised by qualified occupational therapists. Therapy is tailored to each child’s unique needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and reach their full potential at home, at school, and in the community.
Services
On-campus clinic
Our clinic-based service provides therapy to individuals aged 4 to 18 years. The therapy team support children and young people who may be experiencing challenges with fine motor, gross motor, executive functioning, daily living skills, play, sensory behaviours, regulation, school readiness and school participation.
Our service provides assessment, individual therapy and group programs. Individual therapy is typically offered as a 10-week block of intervention based on NSW school terms.
School-based programs
The OT Clinic can provide school-based programs in preschools, primary schools and high schools in the Hunter and Lake Macquarie regions. These programs may include:
- Screening assessments
- Individual comprehensive assessments
- Individual, and small group therapy
- Whole class intervention to support handwriting and self-regulation
- Consultation with teachers and families.

On-campus clinic
- Referral completed by contacting the service and receiving the link for an online intake form (if waitlist books are open).
- The service is not a registered NDIS, Medicare or Private Health Provider.

Our on-campus services are based in the VA Building on the Callaghan campus in room VA103.
On-campus clinic
Individual therapy
- Assessment and report fee: $180
- Initial consultation (with no report) fee: $75
- Reassessment (for families who are re-engaging) fee: $110
- Therapy session fee: $50.
School-based service
Determined in consultation with the service based on the preschool or school’s individual needs and length of contract.
