Demonstrations
A number of oxy-fuel demonstrations have recently commenced, will commence shortly, or are planned, as shown on the Table.
Most of the boilers are coal fired, as pulverised fuel (PC), with some circulating fluidised beds (CFBs). Some are pilot-plants which demonstrate the combustion and gas cleaning processes, some also couple carbon capture with storage (CCS).
