Lauren Eade

Lauren Eade has almost twenty years of experience in IP law, and has worked with an extremely diverse selection of business types and industries as she guides them through their IP and trademark journey. She has already brought her valuable perspective to the VMS mentor table, having worked with two start-ups, Feedback Organic and Compeat Nutrition.

“I’ve really enjoyed the process and being able to work with people who have an ambition for the greater good,” says Lauren.

Thanks to her professional services experience, Lauren is well versed in building productive relationships, and appreciates the significance of giving businesses access to appropriate advice during those precious early stages of development. “The thing about trademarks is that every business has one, and if you get it wrong you can put yourself on the back foot for decades. If people get started out properly, then they’ll be in a secure position to go forward and do what they need to do.”

Lauren has found the mentor training process particularly valuable, not just for providing her with further tools to use throughout the VMS program and her own career, but for the opportunity to connect with other community minded individuals across the Hunter. “They are all good people to know – there’s a lot to be learned from them.”
