Career Summary

Biography

Alice is a Pro Bono Lawyer seconded full time from Moray & Agnew. She works within the University of Newcastle Legal Centre (UNLC) as a clinical supervisor of students in the legal clinic, as well as a lawyer within the Bridge of Hope Innocence Initiative Newcastle. UNLC offers free legal advice, assistance and representation to the community, as well as hosting law clinics and community education seminars. UNLC is an integral part of the clinical placement programs conducted by Newcastle Law School. 

Prior to joining Moray & Agnew and UNLC, Alice practised in the areas of criminal defence, family violence orders, and family law at Legal Aid ACT. She regularly represented defendants in the ACT Magistrates Court and ACT Children's Court for sentencing hearings, bail applications, mental health diversions, and appeared in contested summary hearings. 

Alice has also served as a member of the ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Women, where she was appointed for her expertise on legal responses to family violence. She has also held federal policy development roles addressing complex forms of gendered violence, particularly forced marriage and human trafficking.
