Open Access Week

Open Access

What is Open Access Week? (October 19-25)

Open Access (OA) week is intended to raise awareness of OA as a means to provide free online access to scholarly publications. This assists in raising the research profile of UON authors and the University. One significant way authors can participate is to archive copies of their peer-reviewed manuscripts in the University's Open Access Repository NOVA. A large number of UON staff and RHD students are archiving open access copies of their publications and the Library would like to encourage more authors to follow this practice.

Submit your peer reviewed article to win an Apple iPad and a free coffee

In support of Open Access Week the library is offering UON staff and RHD students the chance to win an iPad. Submit a copy of your full-text, peer-reviewed manuscript (Final accepted version) to NOVA at before midnight October 25 to go in the draw for the iPad. You'll also  receive a coffee voucher which can be redeemed at the cafes at the Auchmuty, Huxley or Ourimbah Libraries. (Please advise us if you prefer to redeem your voucher at another UON campus.)
