Open Access Week
What is Open Access Week?
Open Access (OA) week is held in October of each year and is intended to raise awareness of OA as a means to provide free online access to scholarly publications. This assists in raising the research profile of UON authors and the University. One significant way authors can participate is to archive copies of their peer-reviewed manuscripts in the University's Open Access Repository NOVA. A large number of UON staff and RHD students are archiving open access copies of their publications and the Library would like to encourage more authors to follow this practice.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
