Information for Staff

From semester 1, 2018 the Library has been implementing a new electronic course readings system that will improve provision, access and discovery of course readings for everyone.

If your School has already migrated to the new system find out how easy it is to set up your reading list using our electronic course readings platform.

Not migrated yet?

Course coordinators from the Schools of Nursing & Midwifery, Creative Industries, Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Electrical Engineering & Computing, and Medicine & Public Health are welcome to continue using our mediated Course Readings service in 2018.

Alternatively, if you are keen to take advantage of the advanced features offered by the new electronic course readings system and your school has not yet migrated, you can request to jump the queue.

The Course Readings collection

All campus libraries have a Course Readings collection for physical items.

One copy of each prescribed set textbook will be located in the campus library Course Readings collection where the course is delivered; additional copies will be made available in the Library's general collection.

The electronic collection consists of chapters from books, pdf files scanned from print journals, or publications that cannot otherwise be accessed via direct web or library database links. Copies of material are made available by the Library subject to copyright regulations and relevant licence agreements. More on Copyright
