Volunteering overseas is a valuable opportunity to meet new people, engage in unique communities and gain an understanding of different cultures.  There’s no better way to gain a new perspective, and with endless volunteering opportunities out there all over the world, there’s a project out there to suit everyone.

Volunteering is an opportunity available to all students, regardless of your degree program or level of study.

There are countless organisations offering volunteering opportunities and students are welcome to browse through our list of approved programs or search for other opportunities elsewhere.

Please note however, that in order for students to be covered by UON’s Travel Insurance Policy, students must:

  • Be a member of ILEAD Plus
  • Be undertaking a UON Approved international volunteering program

Any student who does not fill the above criteria is encouraged to source their own travel Insurance policy to suit their needs.

If you have found a volunteering opportunity you wish to undertake that does not appear on the approved list, please contact the ILEAD Plus team.
