Ube College Study Tour


An exciting opportunity has become available for 8 engineering students to experience Japan for 10 days during the 2016 semester break. The main purpose of the program is to deepen understanding of Japanese culture and promote international exchange.

  • Japanese language skills are not required for this tour.
  • The age range of participants should be the same as Ube students, 18 to 25.

What you will be doing:
  • Class visits with Ube College students including presenting on engineering and Australia
  • City tours of Ube and Yamaguchi, Campus tours of Ube and Yamaguchi University,  factory tours, sightseeing
Type of Accommodation:Student dormitory (shared room)  plus 2 night homestay
Cost:* Approximately $350 for the Program, accommodation, tours and meals
* Return Flights approx. $1200 - $1500
* Miscellaneous expenses
Financial Subsidies:To offset the costs a $750 Travel Grant is available from UON Global.

Note:  Places are limited and the process is competitive. Students will be selected based on average GPA and the response to the following question: What interests you most about Japan, and why? (Personal, Academic, Career).

Students will have the opportunity to undertake personal travel at the conclusion of the Study Tour.
