EMBA Leads to Global Success
Stephanie began her study journey with the University in the early 2000s, when she completed her Bachelor of Business. After working professionally for a number of years, Stephanie felt ready to elevate her career to the next level.
“When deciding to study my Masters, I had been in my chosen profession for a long time and felt unchallenged in my role,” she says.
Deciding to study the EMBA provided Stephanie more confidence and flexibility to perform in her role, and helped take her knowledge to the next level.
“I liked the broad range of subjects it offered to round out the skills I had – and immerse me in new ones. The intense structure meant I gave the course the attention it needed to broaden my knowledge and shift how I lead,” she says.
Stephanie says the experience helped her change her perception of daily tasks.
“The EMBA enabled me to connect with like-minded people, learn from subject matter experts and connect with industry leaders.
“When I reflect on what I learnt, I now think about my job more strategically,” she says.
Stephanie attributes the smaller cohort sizes and intensive structure to her success in the program.
“Having a smaller cohort that had similar life challenges to support me was invaluable.
“From a course perspective, the intensive structure was best for me to learn in, and I am incredibly grateful to have found a course that considers different learning styles and offered something different,” she says.
Since completing the EMBA, Stephanie has been offered the opportunity of a lifetime – a Chief of Staff (Global) role based in the UK.
“I see a strong link to the completion of my EMBA with my success in being offered this opportunity. I have been really clear about wanting to develop myself and learn more, backed by completing my EMBA,” she says.
Stephanie encourages other students to take part in the EMBA.
“The hardest but best thing you can do is start,” she says.
