Startup Stories - Graeme Johnston (Central Telecoms)
Graeme Johnston
It was in 2016 that Graeme Johnston and Andy Heller could see the writing on the wall for larger Telcos in Australia. The industry was riddled with bad customer service and lousy reputations, so the two industry veterans set out to create a point of difference for customers across the country. They saw their opening and established Central Telecoms, a Central Coast based telecommunications company focused on personalised service and cost-effective, tailored solutions for regional business customers.
Leveraging the NBN, the company has experienced explosive growth and recently debuted on the CRN Fast50, making it the seventh fastest growing tech company in Australia. Central Telecoms are going head-to-head with Australia’s behemoth telcos, Telstra and Optus, specialising in custom solutions for regional businesses enabling their transition to the NBN without any delays or loss of service. Graeme and his team have quickly grown to sixteen employees and expanded their footprint to eight regional locations, with ambitions to reach forty locations by 2022.
Graeme is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for regional innovation. Join us at Startup Stories to hear from one of Australia’s fastest growing tech companies headquartered right next door.
