Doctoral Training Centre (DTC)

For industries operating in the advanced Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) or Food and Agribusiness sectors, students receiving an ISS have the additional benefit of joining one of the two dedicated Doctoral Training Centres (DTC) administered by the Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources (NIER). These centres bring students, academics and industry together in a multi-disciplinary model with initiatives that support meaningful connections between industry and researchers. Through this associated network, there are increased opportunities to access further collaborative projects to drive business development and innovation.
