Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise (KEE) is the industry engagement and commercialisation/technology transfer office of The University of Newcastle.
KEE provides support to The University of Newcastle’s researchers and is the front door for industry to connect with The University’s world-class research and technologies.
The core business of KEE is to provide expertise and knowledge to:
- Generate collaboration opportunities for research and industry
- Build and retain relationships between The University of Newcastle and industry
- Understand industry priorities and emerging sector trends
- Communicate The University of Newcastle’s research and research value propositions to industry audiences
How industry can engage with KEE

Postgraduate student engagement | Multiple options from 3 month engagements to long-term (3 year) support | Short-term contracts or co-funded scholarships are available. |
Technology licensing | Long or short-term licensing or permanent assignment of UON technologies. | Usually ongoing royalty, terms are negotiable. |
Industry Sponsored Scholarship | 3 – 4 years | $30,500-$35,500 p.a. |
