Lyndell Fogarty

An entrepreneur at heart, Lyndell Fogarty is always looking to create positive change through helping others to realise their potential and accelerate their achievement. “If you help an emerging entrepreneur along their path then the whole community stands to benefit from what they are doing – that’s a very powerful thing.”

After initially studying to become an accountant, Lyndell switched gears and has spent the past twenty-plus years in human resources through internal roles, consulting and eventually founding and building the national HR firm, PerformHR.  She prides herself on her capacity to balance the logical with the creative, and the commercial with the cultural dimensions of business.

Lyndell is also a Director with HunterNet and is a Mentor with Women Sport Australia.

Being involved with VMS has allowed Lyndell to further connect with the emerging talent in her community, and to learn more about diverse areas of industry. “VMS is a way to give back and to help build depth in our start-up community here in Newcastle. It also inspires me to continually expand my thinking. I have a ring side seat on incredible things happening here which I get to share with my three teenage girls. It’s a way for me to keep a growth mindset and to lay down ideas for their futures”.
