Alumni Benefits and Giving Back

Whether it's attending a free online lecture or recommencing formal study, our alumni have told us that their key interest is ongoing learning. The university currently has a number of opportunities for you to access, but we will now turn our attention to curating and creating a broad number of learning opportunities for you across a number of platforms and intensity levels so that you have these at your fingertips.

Early to mid-career alumni are particularly interested in professional development and networking opportunities and we are excited to announce a new suite of opportunities to address this need! Stay tuned for the launch of THRIVE in 2021, developed in consultation with the University's Careers team, to ensure you get the support you need to make your next move. Make sure your details are up-to-date for our exciting launch announcement.

In addition to lifelong learning, alumni want to stay connected in order to give back. You want to do this by sharing your time and talent, and by providing industry experience and mentorship to our students.

An impressive 47% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alumni are interested in mentoring students and so we are proud to have launched the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Alumni Collective; an online community and network dedicated to connecting our Indigenous students, staff and alumni.

For all alumni, volunteering makes a real difference and in 2022 we will introduce a new suite of mentoring programs. In the meantime, find out how to register your interest in getting involved.

Another key area of interest for alumni is philanthropy. Whether it's creating a scholarship opportunity for someone with the talent but without the means, providing the much-needed resources for ground-breaking research, or establishing physical environments where we can work together to push the boundaries, it all adds up. You can be the spark that sets good in motion and helps overcome the challenges we see in the world right now by making a gift.
