Career Connect is designed to help you build the essential knowledge, skills and experience that you need for the world of work. Statistics show that extra-curricular activities, transferable skills and industry knowledge are must-haves when forging your career path. Whether you want to get your dream job, be well prepared for your career-ready placement, have profound social impact, or start your own business – Career Connect has something for everyone.
Career Connect is open to all current students of the University of Newcastle. To join, you’ll first need to learn how to develop employability skills and how to communicate your value by completing a short online module. You will then gain access to the Career Connect portal and over 100 extra-curricular activities that will build your employability.
Within the program, you will be invited to record and reflect on the experiences you participate in as part of your University journey. You will be able to download your reflection and experience records, which can be used to provide future employers with evidence of the skills that they demand in the world of work.
