1. Medical
Required medical information
Note: The NSW Health Verification process can take up to 6 months to complete. This has to be completed within the first year of study. To ensure your placement doesn’t get pushed back please start this verification process as soon as possible.
There are two sections to complete within the required medical information tab. Make sure you read through each section carefully before moving on to the personal requirements tab.
Section One: Vaccinations
All students must be fully vaccinated against the following diseases. Not being fully vaccinated may delay your placement.
In some cases, ‘temporary’ NSW Health compliance may be allowed whilst you obtain booster / additional vaccinations. You can read about temporary compliance in the Key Information section.

Where can I get evidence of my vaccinations?
You must provide evidence of complying with immunisation requirements.
This can be done by using your Immunisation History Statement, which you can access on myGov.
Some vaccinations require or use serology reports as evidence. You can access serology reports through your GP.
What if I was vaccinated overseas?
The Vaccination Record Card for Category A Workers and Students is to be completed by a GP if you were vaccinated overseas and:
- do not have evidence of vaccination on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
- do not have a record of your immunisations
- do not have English translated overseas vaccination records
- you only have some evidence of vaccination
Note: Vaccination records recorded in a foreign language may be translated using the Free Translating Service provided by the Department of Home Affairs or using a local translation service.
