National Criminal Record Check (NCRC)

Can take 24hrs to process.
To be obtained from one of the approved ACIC Accredited Bodies

National Police Certificate (NPC)

Where do I get my police check done?

Your National Criminal Record Check (NCRC) must be obtained through ACIC Accredited Body or an Australian State or Territory Police Force (e.g., NSW Police or the Australian Federal Police).

For more detailed information, including requirements for current NSW Health employees, international students, and students applying for an AFP NCRC, please refer to the Key Information page.

If you have lived overseas, you must provide an International Police Check. If you are unable to obtain one, you may submit an Overseas Statutory Declaration instead. When completing the Overseas Statutory Declaration:

  • Read the first paragraph carefully and cross out the statement that does not apply to you: "I do not have / have criminal convictions or pending charges."
  • Ensure all sections of the declaration are completed before it is witnessed.
  • The authorised witness must verify the declaration has been completed correctly and the wording that does not apply has been crossed out in both Sections 1 and 2.
