Newstep Transition Arrangements
After a comprehensive review including feedback from current and past students, our University’s staff and external Higher Education experts, we will be combining Newstep and Open Foundation to form one program from 2022. Our goal here is to provide pathways to more students into the future and offer greater flexibility.
Please be assured that eligible students will still be able to complete Newstep this year. We are dedicated to ensuring you successfully complete your pathway to a university degree and will be supporting you every step along the way.
Use this webpage to track your progress and view your options to complete your Enabling Pathways program.
How to calculate your progress
Check your grades in myHub and add up how many units you have completed.
- *Completed, or passed units include grades P, C, D, HD, UP or EX. For more information on grade codes click here. Please note you cannot attempt a course again that you have already passed.
- Any Fail (FF), Withdraw (WW) or Incomplete (I) grades do not count towards completing your program.
Discuss your options
You are encouraged to discuss your options with your Program Convenor, they can help you decide on the best pathway to completion. They are available over the phone, over zoom or face-to-face on campus*. Please contact your Program Convenor to organise a time and location for a chat.
Waiting for your Semester 1 grades?
You can book in a time with your Program Convenor for Monday 5 or Tuesday 6 July to discuss your options once your grades are finalised. Please email them below with 3 options that work for you across these days for a 20 minute chat, you'll receive a reply to confirm your booking.
