Entry to the University

Admissions into the University of Newcastle can occur in a variety of ways, not every student comes to our University directly from High School, currently an increasing number of students come to us through a variety of different pathways.

These pathways have been developed to help the prospective student achieve their goal of a University education.

The University of Newcastle offers opportunities to students from a variety of diverse backgrounds ranging from people who are choosing to improve employment or promotional prospects within the workplace, to those who are keen to explore new areas of interest and persuing a pathway of study which may not have been available to them in earlier years

We have a very proud record of encouraging students from a variety of different backgrounds and circumstances. We believe that most people deserve a chance for a university education and we have set up three highly successful programs designed to help them get that chance.
