Teaching support

Two students interacting in the Library

The Library is here to support University of Newcastle teaching staff for pathways, undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Each School has a dedicated Teaching Liaison Librarian who can assist with the University’s learning and teaching curriculum.

  • Digital capabilities guide — the essential digital skills that students need for their course of study. The library can work with you to make digital capabilities resources more visible to your students.
  • Course Readings — the Library can support you in acquiring and using reading materials within the courses that you teach.
  • Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning and research materials that reside in the public domain. The Library has collected the resources to make it easier for you to find OER textbooks that suit you and your students' needs.
