The Australian Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology (AJEDP) is a double blind peer reviewed online journal, publishing research and scholarly reports from the broad areas of educational and developmental psychology.

The journal aims to attract publication from a diversity of theoretical and methodological perspectives, encompassing research and scholarship relevant to understanding the learning processes across all age groups and across all educational settings. The Editors may on occasion invite papers for a special thematic issue.

The Editorial Board recognises that while a number of outlets for quality educational research within Australia exist, there does not appear to be a medium specialising in the dissemination of reports from the perspectives of educational and developmental psychology. The AJEDP aims to provide such a medium.

As an electronic journal, the Editorial Board hopes to provide an opportunity for the rapid dissemination of research and scholarship. Articles accepted for publication in the AJEDP will be placed online as they are accepted. Readers will also have the opportunity to engage in public or private discussion at the point of publication, thus enhancing the possibility for scholarly discourse and exchange. It is the hope of the editors that the journal will provide a forum not only for the dissemination of research, but also an active forum for constructive criticism and debate.
