Overseas Learning Centre
In July 2022, The University of Newcastle will partner with South West University (SWU) in Chongqing to establish an Overseas Learning Centre. Students who remain in China due to COVID-19 are welcome to study at the learning centre.
Students are welcome to register their interest in attending the OLC for 2022 Semester 2 and Trimester 3. Please stay tuned with the University WeChat account (ID: UON_Australia) for important updates and arrangements.
Eligible students
- Students who have received an offer from the University of Newcastle and will commence study in Trimester 1 and Semester 1 in 2022 at a campus in Australia, OR
- Students with a current enrolment in any coursework program with the University of Newcastle at a campus in Australia.
Note for Singapore students: Students with an offer to study at the University of Newcastle campus in Singapore or who are enrolled in Singapore are not eligible to study at the OLC and must travel to Singapore.

Facilities and support
- Study in a dedicated University of Newcastle space with other students
- Learning facilitator is provided on site
- IT support to ensure smooth online studies
- Access to NEUQ’s library, dining halls, and sports and leisure facilities
- Stay connected with the student community through regular social activities
Fees
Students are responsible for paying the standard tuition fees to the University. Students are responsible for their own living expenses, accommodation, travel costs, medical expenses, and insurance. Please register with the University WeChat account (ID: UON_Australia) for important updates.
