Dr. Ulka Suryavanshi is a materials science researcher and academic with more than 15 years of experience in advanced nanomaterials, energy storage, energy conversion, and environmental applications. Her research expertise includes the design, synthesis, and characterization of carbon-based nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes, nanobeads, nanofibers, mesoporous carbon, and heteroatom-doped materials including boron nitride, boron carbon nitride, and nitrogen-doped carbons. She has contributed extensively to the development of thin films and porous nanostructures for catalysis, batteries, and fuel cell technologies. Dr. Suryavanshi has received prestigious recognitions including the Shankar Dayal Sharma President Award from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. India for Ideal Student and the Young Scientist Award at the IUMRS, Japan for Best Oral Presentation.
In addition to her research achievements, she has over six years of teaching experience at graduate and postgraduate levels, delivering courses in Solid State Physics, Thin Film Physics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Experimental Physics, and related disciplines. Dr. Suryavanshi also possesses strong experience in higher education administration, stakeholder engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, academic coordination, and student mentoring. She is recognized for her ability to manage multiple projects, support academic quality processes, organise conferences and academic events, and work effectively within culturally diverse academic environments.
