Career Summary

Biography

Tania Crivellenti is a casual academic, creative practitioner, and PhD candidate in Human Geography and Dance Studies at the University of Newcastle. Her doctoral research, Embodied Dialogues: Latin Dance as a Practice of Connection, Belonging and Inclusion, explores how Latin dance enables deep interpersonal connection and fosters inclusive communities.

Originally from Brazil, Tania migrated to Australia over 20 years ago to create a life centred on creativity, writing, and quality of life. This personal journey continues to shape her interdisciplinary approach, which integrates research, creativity, and lived experience.

With a Master of Arts (Research) in Dance Studies, her work has mapped the evolution of the Latin dance scene in Australia and its role in building cultural connection across diverse communities. Her broader background in creative writing, communications, and cross-cultural engagement informs her ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity, warmth, and impact.

Recognised for her engaging speaking style and mentoring capacity, Tania creates spaces where people feel seen, heard, and inspired. Her practice extends beyond academia through her creative platform and podcast, Creative Space Mastery, where she explores creativity, storytelling, and human connection across cultures and mediums.

Tania’s work is grounded in a clear belief: everyone deserves connection, belonging, and inclusion. She is equally committed to the idea that creativity is inherent in everyone, and that meaningful work should feel aligned, inspired, and life-giving. Through her research and creative practice, she advocates for environments where people can connect deeply—with themselves, each other, and the spaces they inhabit.

Alongside her academic work, Tania is a writer, dancer, and storyteller exploring the intersections of embodiment, creativity, and community. Her work ultimately contributes to a more connected, inclusive, and inspired world.
