Biography

Dr Suzanne Hartsuyker is a Lecturer within Newcastle Business School, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the disciplines of management, marketing, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

In the management discipline, her teaching focuses on Leadership, Managing Organisational Change, and Strategic Management in complex and dynamic environments. Suzanne's teaching experience also extends to areas of marketing, including Marketing Principles, Global Marketing Strategies and Integrated Marketing Communications. In the innovation and entrepreneurship domain, Suzanne has designed and led courses in Business Venturing, Innovation Management, and Innovation and Entrepreneurial Strategy (capstone), exploring innovation both within organisations and across the broader global ecosystem. 

Suzanne holds a PhD in Management, with her research centred on consumer behaviour, omnichannel retailing, touchpoints and company control. Her broader research interests include innovation adoption and entrepreneurship, retail strategy, and emerging technologies in marketing.

Before joining the University of Newcastle, Suzanne held executive and management roles in the media, sales, and banking sectors, bringing extensive industry experience to her teaching and research practice.
