Career Summary
Biography
Ron Perkins is a proud Wonnarua man who grew up in Awabakal country.
Ron has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Arts from the University of Newcastle and has also worked at the NSW Legislative Council.
Ron has experience working with Indigenous communities both personally and professionally across the state. He currently works to represent and further Indigenous insights and knowledges in his role as an associate lecturer at the Wollotuka Institute.
Ron’s research interests centre on Indigenous resilience and motivations as well as procedural justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. He is particularly interested in using story-telling methodology to bridge the divide between academia and community.
