Mrs Megan Walsh

Megan Walsh is an Associate Lecturer in Allied Health at the University of Newcastle, Department of Rural Health (UONDRH). Megan is based at the McLean Care Learning and Development Centre, Inverell. 

Megan graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 1997. Following this, Megan returned to her home town of Inverell and commenced working as a clinical speech pathologist in a sole, generalist role for NSW Health. She continues to this day in a part-time job-share capacity with a wonderful team of Allied Health Professionals and Nurses supporting the health and wellbeing of children and adults in Inverell. 

Megan joined the UONDRH team in 2023 and is embracing being part of a team that focuses on facilitating student placements and learning especially within Aged Care. Megan is passionate about rural health services and enjoys working collaboratively with students and clinicians to support the provision of clinical placements to speech pathology and allied health students in Inverell. Within her role with the UONDRH, Megan aims to enhance student knowledge of interprofessional practice within rural health teams.
