Career Summary
Biography
Lisa is an Associate Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health at the Coffs Harbour campus.This role involves working with rural undergraduate students in their final year of the degree through supervision and support of clinical, community and food service. Lisa also works as a clinical dietitian in eating disorders and paediatrics. She is an accredited practising dietitian and member of Dietitians Australia.
Research ExpertiseLisa is currently completing her PhD called 'Perspectives of Aboriginal Nutrition and Exercise Wellbeing Programs: A Qualitative Study' which aims to develop understandings of perspectives of success of an Aboriginal wellbeing program. The research project works to transform understandings toward a lifeworld focused approach for future practice involving Aboriginal nutrition and exercise programs.
