Biography

Jacob Switzer is a PhD Student at the University of Newcastle. He completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Politics and International Relations in 2020. In 2022 he completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours). His honours thesis researched the development and construction of the Sovereign Citizen Ideology in the US and Australia. Jacob completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Diploma of Legal Practice in 2023. 

Jacob's research interests are in law reform and anti-discrimination law. His PhD is researching the history and development of anti-discrimination law in Australia, as well as examining how reforms in anti-discrimination law shape our understanding of the purpose of anti-discrimination law.
