Mrs Clare Thomson

Mrs Clare Thomson is a Research Officer for the Centre for Women's Health Research. She holds a Bachelor of Development Studies. Mrs Thomson has worked on several studies within the Centre over her tenure, the main project being the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health. Her current responsibilities centre around the ethical governance of the study including the coordination of communication and submissions for Human Research Ethics Committees (e.g. Uni of Newcastle, Uni of Queensland, data linkage custodians), monitoring compliance obligations, and providing advice on ethical issues and submission requirements to external and internal researchers and other stakeholders. Clare is also responsible for managing the long-term archives of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health and assists with participant recruitment and cultural consultation processes.
