Kiran’s balanced equation

Kiran Khatri, a Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) student from Nepal, initially chose the University of Newcastle for its globally recognised accreditations, however he quickly discovered that the university had much more to offer.

"The multiple accreditations were a significant factor in my decision to study here. They provide a pathway to global recognition and credibility in the accounting and finance sectors," he said, highlighting the significance of the program’s associations with CPA, ACCA, CAANZ, as well as AACSB and EQUIS.

"I came for the accreditations but stayed for the incredible learning environment," Kiran added.

Kiran's academic journey is enriched by his experiences at NUspace, a state-of-the-art facility that combines world-class technology with innovative teaching methods. "The environment here is not just conducive for learning; it's also engaging and fun," he noted.

Receiving a scholarship has eased Kiran's financial concerns, allowing him to focus more on his studies. "The scholarship has made my life here much easier, allowing me to concentrate on what really matters—my education," he said.

Set to graduate in the third trimester of 2025, Kiran is not just counting the days but making the days count.
