In the Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts program students undertaking the Performance Major can elect to pair this with the Media Arts Production Major from the Bachelor of Communication.

This could mean developing your own score and audio to complement a video production or bringing your knowledge of music to the public in podcasts or online media. Songwriting and Production combined with Animation and Interaction

If you are undertaking the Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts Major in Songwriting and Production, you can elect to pair this with Animation and Interaction Major from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design program.

Whether you have a passion to be a songwriter or to produce beautiful music combining these skills with animation and interaction opens up another world of opportunities. The Animation and Interaction Major will give you skills in character development, narrative design and transmedia production. It will also give you skills to work in both 2D and 3D animation environments.

Performing Arts combined with Creative Arts

Students undertaking the Performing Arts Major in the Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts program can elect to undertake the Creative Arts Major from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design program.

This pair of Majors will provide students with the opportunity to work professionally in the performing and creative arts. Drawing on both industry and creative work practices students will perform, creatively produce, direct and design in a broad range of performing art and creative art forms.

In project-based courses you will be able to develop performing arts and creative arts production skills in collaborative and individual projects.

Animation and Interaction combined with Media Arts Production

Students undertaking the Animation and Interaction Major from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design program can elect to pair this with the Media Arts Production Major in the Bachelor of Communication program.

This combination of Majors will allow you to develop in-depth skills in interactive audio and screen production for  media platforms including screen, web and digital Not only will you develop professional skills in media production, this combination will allow you to develop , a wide range of animation based projects for broadcast, social media film and games using your 2D/3D animation and motion graphic skills

You will produce creative work in both traditional screen media forms and skills to work in emerging media areas such as AR and VR.

For students interested in interactive media like games, advanced web design, user driven experiences, and emerging technologies this combination will allow you to explore your creative potential. You will explore, through practical engagement, the links between interactive and narrative design for all types of digital media forms.

You will also be developing other sought-after skills in collaborative production planning and management.

Graphic Design and Illustration combined with Media Arts Production

Students undertaking the Graphic Design and Illustration Major from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design program can elect to pair this with the Media Arts Production Major in the Bachelor of Communication program.

This combination of majors will allow you to develop skills in design thinking and apply this knowledge of production process to a range of interactive and narrative media forms.

This combination of Majors will allow you to develop in-depth skills in interactive audio and screen production for media platforms including broadcast, social and online content. Not only will you develop professional skills in media production, but you will expand your skillset

With illustration, graphics, and branding experience to make creative content. You’ll be able to hone your abilities in a diverse range of areas in the Creative Industries including advertising and social media content creation using your graphic and typography expertise or use your illustration skills in pre-visualisation by creating concept art or storyboards for broadcast, online or game applications.

Animation and Interaction combined with Songwriting and Production

If you are undertaking the Animation and Interaction Major from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design, you can elect to pair this with the Songwriting and Production program in the Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts.

The combination of sound and vision is the foundations of animated production and interactive media. Graphic Design and Illustration combined with Public Relations

Students undertaking the Graphic Design and illustration Major from the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design program can elect to pair this with the Public Relations Major from the Bachelor of Communication program.

This combination of majors will foster a greater understanding of the visual aspects of public relations, and progress your skills in strategy, public communication, and campaign execution. You can explore content generation and the shaping of image and information in conjunction with the conceptualisation, design, development, and implementation of communication channels in public relations including, digital, social, earned, owned, and traditional media.

Students undertaking this combined major will develop skills that meet the diverse and multi-faceted demands of roles in the creative industries, including social and multi-media content creation and management, media liaison, strategic planning as well as broad professional communication skills in working with stakeholders.
