“I chose civil engineering because it is a problem-solving degree, mainly based on maths, which is what I really liked to do at school.

I like the fact that a civil engineering degree could lead to so many diverse careers – you could be working on a dam, a tunnel or an airport – there are so many different options.

There are also lots of opportunities to work overseas – when I graduate, I hope to be working internationally and taking advantage of all my degree has to offer.”
